about this project

I took these pictures at Boiler Beach ,south end of Long Island Bahamas.
The Ship if a Haitian Refugee ship which came in the night before in a
storm. There was 60 refugee's onboard and all survived. I originally started
this painting back in 2008 and then put it on the back burner until January
19th, 2023 as my oldest son Joedy always said that he loved that picture and
since his 50th Birthday was coming up on June 30, I decided to finish the
painting for the memorable Birthday.

Surprise

On Sunday June 11th at a grade school luncheon I showed the painting to a
fellow classmate Joseph Farina a well known and published poet who lives
here in Sarnia. That night Joseph went home and wrote a magnificent poem to
match the painting............unbelievable great.
